Jaya Ferreira

CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTITIONER | CLINIC DIRECTOR

For my whole life I have been surrounded by a natural way of living. My mother works in Complementary Medicine, so when I was growing up our home was filled with nutritious food, natural lotions and potions and a strong focus on mental and emotional wellbeing. If I wasn’t feeling well different modalities of natural healing were mum’s go-to to help me heal.

Truthfully though, it has only been in my adult life that I have truly appreciated the knowledge and benefits a holistic upbringing has given me. Through my own health journey and having children, I have been empowered to take responsibility for my health with the knowledge I was gifted from such a young age.

After gaining my degree in Chinese Medicine/Human Biology from RMIT University, and working in various clinics in Melbourne, I developed a love of women’s health, in particularly natural fertility and IVF support. I like to work from a holistic and integrative perspective, helping my clients achieve their health goals with compassion and understanding. I believe it is important to empower my clients with knowledge, to allow them to feel heard, and for them to know all of the options that are available to them so they can then make an educated decision about the journey that is right for them both physically and emotionally.

I created Natural Fertility Geelong to be a sanctuary for women. I wanted to provide a space that not only has clinical excellence but is a place to inspire women that it is ok to love, nurture and believe in our own worth. I want women to know that putting yourself first isn’t selfish, but necessary. It is a place where you can be without judgement and honour who you are, in all of your forms.

When I’m not in the clinic I love spending time with my kids Eli and Freddie. I love experimenting with new recipes (cooking is my meditation!), planning travel adventures and reading fantasy novels. I love coffee in bed on Sunday mornings and sharing a glass of wine with my partner Nic during that magical time after 7pm when the kids are in bed and the house is quiet.I feel very privileged that I get to work everyday doing something I love. I would love to help you on your journey.
